How Chris came to invent Safe T Light

Chris says:
'In September 2003, my mother came very close to falling down stairs during a power cut. She was looking for a torch! The idea for my safety light was born out of the realization that my mother was less safe in her own home than she would have been in a public building where emergency lighting is compulsory. What she needed was a light that would come on as soon as it was dark, which would stay on during a power cut, and which could then be used as a torch.'
